The TeePee Returns #2

A 30 foot Teepee was erected at Queen’s Park yesterday

by Environmental activists and two Northern First Nations.

Grassy Narrows is protesting clear cutting practices on

their traditional land, while Big Trout stood against the

mining company Platinex.

Grassy Narrows Chief Simon Fobister says they were

hoping for a meeting with the Premier, but he was too busy.

The Rainforest Action Network and Christian Peacemaker

teams helped erect the painted Teepee that read “Native

Rights Now”.
