A national group geared towards women made a stop in Dryden Tuesday as part of a cross-country awareness trip.
Sue Shire and Lynn Millard are with the Crown Jewels of Canada Society and they are taking part it was is being called the “Thelma and Louis Road Trip 2018”.
Shire and Millard says their group promotes social events for ladies and showing that they are part of the bigger picture.
Millard is the President of the organization and she says they are celebrating their 10th Anniversary.
She says the theme this year is “Getting to Know You”, encouraging their members across Canada to engage with their local communities.
Millard says Crown Jewels of Canada also hosts provincial and national conventions, aimed at getting all women together.
