The season is officially over for the Kenora ‘AAA’ Midget Thistles.
The Thistles bowed out of the Telus Western Regional championships in Saskatoon on Saturday despite a 3-2 win over the Notre Dame Hounds.
The Thistles finished the round robin with a record of one win, one tie and a loss.
The Winnipeg Wild and the Saskatoon Contacts battled it out in Sunday’s gold medal game, with the Contacts coming out on top 4-3 in double overtime.
