Threats made lead to charges in Sioux Lookout

The Ontario Provincial Police responded to reports of threats being made towards a business in Sioux Lookout on January 9.

Investigation revealed threatening messages were sent which resulted in a temporary lockdown.

As a result, a 33-year-old from Sioux Lookout has been arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

The OPP is saying that there is currently no threat to public safety.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Provincial Court on February 27, 2024.
