Three provincial parks in northern Ontario slated for closure are being allowed to continue operating, under a pilot program announced by the province.
For the next two years, Ontario Parks will work with the area municipalities in operating the parks near Kapuskasing, Hearst and Chapleau.
The aim will be to increase revenue and visitation rates.
The municipalities will be responsible for covering any financial losses.
