The Dryden GM Ice Dogs scored three times on the powerplay and fired 25-shots on Eric Mann with the man advantage in a 5-3 loss to the North Stars in Thunder Bay Friday night.
The Ice Dogs trailed the entire game and Troy Williams made it 4-3 before Bradley Belisle fired one home late in the third to secure the win.
Nick Etchyson scored his first Ice Dogs goal, while Zachary Kercz also found the back of the net.
Thunder Bay has now won 11 in a row at home.
The Saturday rematch is expected to be a testy affair.
