Despite suffering a loss and barely pulling out a win at home against English River, the Fort Frances Lakers have moved up one spot in the Canadian Junior Hockey rankings.
The Lakers advanced to 5th in the national rankings.
The Thunder Bay North Stars jumped up two spots to sit 13th.
The Minnesota Iron Rangers received honourable mention.
The Spruce Grove Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League are first in Canada for a second straight week.
Monday night in the SIJHL, the Fort Frances Lakers held on to defeat the Thunder Bay North Stars 5-3.
