The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has had three of its students selected to sit on a new provincial advisory committee.
Brandie Doudiet of Ear Falls will join students from Kenora and Ignace on the committee.
The group will provide advice to Ontario’s Education Minister Kathleen Wynne.
The teens will have a chance to voice their concerns and discuss education issues in Northwestern Ontario.
Director of Education Larry Hope says its a great honor for the public school board.
Hope says 60-students were picked Province wide.
He notes the local representation is impressive given there’s 72-School Boards in Ontario.
