Three Teens Rescued in Thunder Bay

Rushing rapids near Thunder Bay nearly proved tragic for a group of 3
teenage boys.
The boys, aged 13 to 16, became trapped on a rock island in the
middle of the roaring river yesterday.
Crews carried out a nerve-racking rope rescue to bring the stranded
thrill-seekers safely to shore.
Fire officials said recent heavy rains had made the rapids
extremely fast and powerful.
