The Junior Girls stole the spotlight at the NWOSSA Nordic Ski
Championship at Mount Evergreen in Kenora Wednesday.
Kenora’s Alixandra Burkart won the division by beating out Dryden’s
Candace Glowa by .5 seconds.
The Grade 9 student took home silver with Nicole Valiquette grabbing
bronze, finishing only 4-seconds back.

In Junior Boys, Atikokan’s Peter Sorensen finished second, with Kjell
Schmidt of Dryden third.

On the Senior Girls side, Morgan Reilly of Atikokan grabbed bronze.
Dryden’s Jed Nixon took home silver in the Senior Boys Division with
Red Lake’s Chris Reid placing third.
