Thunder Bay Bishop Disappointed With SOC Decision

It’s a ground breaking ruling by the Supreme Court of Canada.

Those suffering near the end of their life with a terminal illness will now have a choice on how their life will end.

The Supreme Court of Canada has overturned laws banning doctor assisted suicide in Canada.

Thunder Bay Bishop Fred Colli says he’s surprised and disappointed by the ruling.

He hopes it’s not the beginning of a slippery slope to allow anyone to make these difficult decisions.

Colli says it’s the sanctity of life which is the overriding issue for the Catholic Church on the issue. (Photo: dotb.ca)
