Dryden isn’t alone in its fight against recent mill assessments.
The Resolute Forest Products tax appeal hearing in Thunder Bay will be continuing January 27th.
City Manager Tim Commisso says he plans to lay out the reasons for appealing the province’s decision to reduce the amount of money the company pays in property taxes to the city.
Commisso says a new model approach has been presented and notes that should be the basis behind having the costly assessment overturned.
The hearing takes place in Thunder Bay.
It could run until the middle of February
