The Thunder Bay inquest into the deaths of seven First Nations youth switches gears again on Monday
That’s when it will hear testimony about the 2007 death of 15-year-old Reggie Bushie of Poplar Hill First Nation.
Last week, jurors listened to former Dennis Franklin Cromarty student Theresa Oombash who suggested there should be a change in how incoming students are introduced to their new home.
Oombash says their should be an orientation session before school starts and parents should be required to be on hand.
She added even though students were grounded for drinking, they’d continue to do it anyway.
Oombash was a good friend of 18-year-old Curran Strang who died from drowning, with alcohol being a contributing factor.
