Thunder Bay Mayor Keith Hobbs says the City is in a state of “readiness” in anticiaption of the upcoming rain and thunderstorms expected to hit the area later this afternoon.
Hobbs says the city is ready with pumps and crews to deploy should they need it.
He says residents can also do their part.
Hobbs says one lesson learned from the flood of May 28th is to move valuables upstairs and out of the basement.
The City still hasn’t recovered from severe flooding in late May.
Environment Canada has issued a weather warning of heavy rain today and tomorrow.
