Famed golfer Tiger Woods has been injured in a single-vehicle accident in the Los Angeles area.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office says emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle rollover just after 7 this morning local time.
Woods had to be extricated from the vehicle before transported to a local hospital for treatment.
His agent, Mark Steinberg confirmed the injuries in a statement to Golf Digest, saying Woods suffered “multiple” leg injuries.
“He is currently in surgery,” Steinberg told Golf Digest, “and we thank you for your privacy and support.”
The 45-year-old Woods was the only person in the vehicle.
