Tim Hortons Camp Day

Tim Hortons Camp Day is back.

Proceeds from hot and iced coffee sold today (Wednesday) will help send children in need to one of seven camps, including one in Whiteshell Provincial Park in Manitoba.

Foundation spokesperson Katie Wheatley says they offer more than just a camping experience.

“Under the surface what’s happening is we’re supporting youth in developing social and emotional skills so that they have the tools and the skills to successfully transition to adulthood.

Over 300,000 youth have attended the camps because of Camp Day and the one day event has raised over $225 million since it was established 30 years ago.

Tim Hortons was forced to run virtual camps the last two years because of the pandemic.

Wheatley stresses they are excited about seeing young campers in person again.

“There’s nothing like it. Kids need this right now. They need to be connected with peers. They need to be outside and disconnected from technology. We’re over the moon to have kids back at our facilities.”
