Time is running out to register for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board Hockey Canada Skills Academy.
800-students took part in the hockey camp in seven area communities this year.
Josh Myles is an instructor for the Red Lake-Ear Falls camp and he says the program has been a huge success and has helped kids not only get into hockey, but also to improve immensely.
Myles also says the hard work on the ice and cooperation translates to better performance and attendance in the classroom as well.
He adds that the program has a lot to do with honing skills, but the drills are a lot of fun and the kids have a blast.
Families who have children who will be in grades 4 to 8 next year are being asked to register by Friday.
