Tips For Emergency Preparedness Week

If a sudden unexpected incident happened today at work or home, would you be prepared?

That’s what the Dryden Fire Service is asking you as this is Emergency Preparedness Week.

Deputy Chief Cam McMillan says you should prepare a survival kit to last you 72-hours.

McMillan says items in the kit should include extra clothing, a flashlight, a battery powered radio as well as a sheet or towel.

He also recommends including money, copies of important documents as well as an alternate battery for your cell phone.

The theme for this weeks campaign is ‘Know the risks and reduce them together’.

McMillan adds its important to go through your emergency plan with your family or co-workers.
