It’s winter and homeowners are cranking up the thermostat to stay warm and cozy during frosty nights.
But as the mercury dips, that’s often when furnaces have issues or break down.
Heating expert Dave Walton says preventing furnace breakdowns should be a priority for homeowners during the winter.
Walton suggests changing your furnace filter every three months and removing visible dust and debris from air ducts.
Walton says signs of breakdown include strange noises, frequent cycling, rust and leaks.
