Although Environment Canada had posted a tornado warning for much of the Rainy River District last night, there have been no confirmed reports of twisters touching down.
Forecaster Denis Paquet notes weather spotters did report active weather during the severe thunderstorm.

The storm did drop about 15 millimetres of rain over the
Fort Frances-International Falls area last night.
A lightning strike knocked out power to east end Fort Frances for half an hour last night and another short outage this morning also stemmed from the severe storm.
