The Toronto Marlies have released former Dryden resident
Matt Grennier from his amateur tryout contract.
The 25 year old American Hockey League forward appeared
in seven games with the Marlies this season.
Grennier was held scoreless and registered a minus three
rating with zero penalty minutes.
Prior to playing for the Marlies, the Dryden native
spent 5 years playing for the Wilfrid Laurier Univesity
Golden Hawks.
The Marlies began the 2008 Calder Cup Playoffs against
the San Antonio Rampage on Wednesday.
