Tough Blue Boxing

Tough sledding for the City of Dryden as it tries to drum up business for the recycling plant.
Council agreed in October to re-start the program on a 6 month trial basis with the intention of getting other communities to send their materal here.
Director of Engineering Brad Johns says Machin came on line at the start of January & Ignace may join soon but that it about it.
Other municipalities say it is too expensive to ship their recyclables to Dryden.
Johns hopes the Blue Box program continues past April but adds it may have to be altered somewhat.
