The first Dryden Christmas Tour of Lights is in the books and the event is being deemed a huge success.
Hundreds of people took to the streets Friday night to visit the registered displays and vote for their favourite.
Dianne Loewen and Ryan Graham were guests on the CKDR Morning Show Monday to recap the event.
Graham says in-town they had 39 registered displays as well as nine businesses and seven rural homes.
Loewen says those who took part voted for St. Joseph’s School, 101 Kellar Road and 93 Dingwall Parkway as their favourite displays.
The event also showcased Dryden’s ability to give during difficult times.
Officials with the Food Bank drove away with numerous donations.
More than $2,000 was also raised for Christmas Cheer.
Domtar will be matching that figure while the Kinsmen Club will be making a $500 donation.
