The tourism season in Northwestern Ontario is being
described as a mixed bag by the Ontario Sunset Country
Travel Association.
Executive Director Gerry Carioux says the Kenora area
has seen an increase in domestic travel, but notes
Americans are visiting less.

Carioux says there’s no official way of tracking how
many out of province residents are visiting the region.
Carioux says with the exception of Kenora, many
Canadians could be taking advantage of the exchange rate
and heading south.
