Tourist outfitters in Northwestern Ontario are bracing for the effects of a new initiative in the U.S. that could bring down the number of visitors.

Fisher said the initiative could cost the country 1.7 billion dollars in lost tourist revenue, by cutting the number of visitors by almost 13 percent.
