Sioux Lookout Council is expected to award a contract for the design phase for Farlinger Park/Town Beach upgrades later this month or in early July.
Manager of Corporate Services Brian MacKinnon says they have received a number of proposals.
MacKinnon says the new-look area will include new playground equipment and washrooms, improved access to the beach and Lakeshore Drive as well as more green spaces.
The project is part of the Community Revitalization Plan.
