Township of Ignace

The township of Ignace has been hit with a $2,000 fine plus a victim
surcharge, for failing to comply with the Ontario Water Resources Act.
The township was charged with 2 counts of non-compliance after the
Ministry of the environment found during a routine inspection, problems with
both water sampling & analysis.
records of operator training requirements were not being kept.
The township pleaded guilty to the charges in provincial court.
