Dryden Police are reporting Trafficking charges from a local traffic stop.
Police say on Monday just after midnight they stopped a vehicle outside a residence on Colonization Avenue for a traffic violation.
Police then say during the stop they detained the male passenger who was immediately arrested for having a can of pepper spray which is prohibited by the Criminal Code.
Dryden Police then say the female driver began to interfere and obstruct police in their duties so she was also arrested for Obstructing Police and Assaulting a Police Officer.
Police also say a subsequent search of the vehicle lead to the seizure of Cocaine, Crystal Meth, Ritalin, knives and Canadian currency.
Dryden Police say 29 year old Katlynd Dawn Cronley-Polkinghorne of Wabigoon faces three counts of Trafficking, three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Methamphetamines and Ritalin, Possession of Property obtained by crime, 2 counts of failing to comply with court orders, Obstructing a police officer, Assaulting Police among numerous offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
Police also say 32 year old Charles Keirron Blake Chief of Dryden is charged with three counts of Trafficking, three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Methamphetamines and Ritalin, Possession of Property obtained by crime as well as Possession of a Prohibited device for having the pepper spray.
Police say both are in custody and will make an appearance in Sioux Lookout court today.
