Tragedy Strikes Sandy Lake First Nation

The Northern Nishnawbe Education Council in Lac Seul is looking for the
public’s help following a tragic incident on the weekend.
A house fire on the remote First Nation of Sandy Lake claimed 2-lives
and destroyed the home and possessions of a large family.
Clothes are needed for an 86-year-old woman and her 10-grandchildren,
aged 3 to 15.
Monetary donations or clothing are being accepted by calling 737-1488.
The cause of the fire and names of the deceased have not been released.
