The TransCanada between Ignace and Thunder Bay is now open.
However, Provincial Police are urging motorists to stay in Dryden and not venture east.
There has been no notification of highway 102 being reopened.
Thunder Bay is facing whiteout conditions with continuous blowing snow.
Several minor vehicle collisions have been reported.
Another 5 to 10-centimetres of snow is expected today bringing total amounts of 15-centimetres or more.
Wind gusts have been reported at 50-kilometres an hour.
A winter storm warning has been issued for Thunder Bay, Schreiber, Longlac, Shabaqua and Atikokan.
