Highway 17 is now open between Vermilion Bay and Ignace.
Highway was closed for about two hours due to poor road conditions.
Several small collisions have been reported and police are urging extreme caution when travelling.
Highway 17 east of Ignace is now open to Thunder Bay, however westbound traffic is still being stopped at Kakabeka Falls.
