Treasury Metals Reconfirms Commitment To Work With First Nations

The Vice-President of the Treasury Metals Goliath Gold project says they are very respectful of all treaty rights with First Nations.

Norm Bush says they continue to have ongoing discussions with all stakeholder groups concerning the project’s possible development east of Dryden.

Grand Council Treaty 3 says its against the development of the open pit and underground gold mine, citing environmental concerns.

Bush says they have been very willing to work with all First Nations, aboriginal groups, Metis Nations of Ontario and Treaty 3.

He notes they are still in the early stages of the environmental permitting process.

Bush believes it will still take another year before they find out if their federal environmental assessment is approved by the government.
