Grand Council Treaty Three says it’s pleased with the number of Indigenous voices that were heard in the provincial election campaign.
Grand Chief Frances Kavenaugh is congratulating Sol Mamakwa, who won for the NDP in the new riding of Kiiwetinoong.
He’s also thanking Clifford Bull and Karen Kejick for throwing their hat in the ring.
Kavenaugh says they are proud of the aboriginal perspective they brought to the race.
Kavenaugh adds that they welcome the opportunity to build a relationship with Premier designate Doug Ford and strengthening their ties with incoming opposition Leader Andrea Horwath.
