A great opportunity for youth in the Treaty Three area.
The Kenora Chiefs Advisory along with the Jays Care Foundation and Right to Play are hosting a baseball tournament in Kenora August 9th.
Joe Barnes with the Kenora Chiefs says teaching community members the game is a big part of the tournament.
Barnes says they will train coaches in each community and those individuals will go back to work with kids.
He says it’s a great opportunity for aboriginal youth to come out and get involved in sports.
Barnes adds Sportsnet will be filming parts of the tournament to be aired during a Jays-Yankees game.
