Treaty Three Chief Appears At AGM

Treaty Three Police Services Chief Conrad Delaronde is blaming the federal Government for the planned closure of the police force.
Delaronde says the Feds haven’t provided sufficient funding.
He notes government officials have told him that “there’s no more money to give”.
Delaronde says he knew they would be facing this situation over 2 years ago and that they have been lobbying the federal government to provide more funding.
Delaronde says he never tried to pass blame to officers.
Delaronde appeared at the Police Services Board Annual General Meeting in Kenora Tuesday and was able to offer one positive note, saying that the province of Ontario would provide funding for the 7-officers that were recently laid off.
