Trillium funding provided for northwestern Ontario groups

More than $650 thousand is being distributed across northwestern Ontario by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

City of Dryden is getting $200,000 to purchase new equipment for the weight room at the Dryden Pool and Fitness Centre.

Red Lake’s Harmony Centre for Community Living is allocating $100,000 to purchase a new wheelchair-accessible vehicle, providing transportation for individuals with disabilities to access essential services and community programs.

Our Kids Count of Thunder Bay will use $92,700 to purchase various equipment, including prep tables, shelving, security upgrades, furniture and IT equipment.

The Kenora Sexual Assault Centre is receiving $18,300 to purchase equipment for an exercise and yoga space for women.

Additional funding was provided to organizations in Schreiber, Terrace Bay, Manitouwadge and Dorion.
