Trillium provides funding for two rinks

Two arenas in the area are getting funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

The Local Services Board of Wabigoon is getting $30,000 to help build a covered rink.

The funding is for 12 months and will help with costs of constructing the rink underneath it’s new pavilion.

As well, the Woodland Arena in Vermillion Bay is getting almost $26,000 for a new boiler.

The grant is for six months and will create a new hot water system for the area, which is more energy efficient and cost effective.
