At least one person is reported dead following the flooding and destruction left behind by Idalia in Florida.
The category 3 hurricane packed winds to about 200 km/hr yesterday
Now a tropical storm, the system is bringing heavy rain and flash flooding to Eastern North Carolina according to the National Hurricane Center.
Forecasters expect Idalia to move off into the Atlantic Ocean this weekend.
