A revised Truth and Reconciliation curriculum for Ontario schools is still be developed.
That’s according to Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Minister Greg Rickford.
Rickford says revising the course is important to the government.
He says we can all say that there wasn’t enough Indigenous learning in our school system.
Rickford stresses the most important thing to do is honour the principles of truth and reconciliation and they intend to remain committed to Indigenous learning.
A curriculum writing session was abruptly cancelled earlier this month by the Ministry of Education without any explanation.
