The Transportation Safety Board says it’s involved in the investigation into Friday’s derailment near Barwick.
But no investigators will be actually visiting the site.
A spokesperson says they are in touch with CN and others for information.
Fourteen rail cars, carrying grain or combustible liquids, left the tracks.
The cause of the derailment is not yet known.
