TSB Releases Results of Belly Landing

Investigators say everything appeared to be working when a plane based out of Red Lake made a belly landing on a Northern Manitoba runway last week.
Peter Hildebrand, of the Transportation Safety Board, says the landing gear on the Superior Airways Piper was working properly but was not engaged.
He also says a device to warn the pilot that the landing gear wasn’t down did not come on.
Hildebrand says the board has closed its books on the incident and won’t investigate further.
The plane was carrying passengers from Pikangikum First Nation and no one was injured.
