TTC Upset With Bombardier In Thunder Bay

The CEO of the Toronto Transit Commission is breathing fire at Bombardier in Thunder Bay.

TTC is considering legal action, to the tune of $50-million, after receiving word the company is, yet again, unable to fulfill its streetcar order by the promised date.

Andy Byford says he’s frustrated and doesn’t care about the money.

Byford says he just wants his streetcars.

He adds there’s no reason production kinks shouldn’t be straightened out at this stage in the contract.

Byford says the TTC will meet October 28th to decide on its future relationship with Bombardier.
