High drama at the first day of weigh-ins at the Kenora Bass International.
The last team to weigh in for the day, Peter Tully and Aaron Wiebe, team #129 had the largest catch of the day by a long shot.
They reeled in 20.40 pounds of bass.
Tully and Wiebe won KBI in 2012, and also had the big fish of the day, a 6.37 pound largemouth.
Tully says it was the most exciting day of fishing they’ve ever had, except for their big win five years ago.
Second place belongs to Bill Godin of Devlin and Leroy Wilson from International Falls, who had the largest weight of the day right until the final boat weighed in at 18.84 pounds.
Third place belongs to Brett Meyers from Kenora and Nathan Brigham from Emo at 18.00 pounds.
Day two begins bright and early at 6:30 Friday morning.
