The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is looking at installing tunable LED lighting in area classrooms.
Spokesperson Steve Parker says the lights will allow for energy savings, but will also be beneficial for people with poor sleep schedules and for those who suffer from migraines.
The lights have the ability to imitate both bright and soft levels of the sun’s temperature.
Parker says they are just starting the project, noting work will begin at regional Elementary schools and expanded to Secondary schools.
