Twinning Of Highway 17 Continues To Face Delays

Don’t expect to see Highway 17 west of Kenora to be twinned in the next five years.

That appears to be the suggestion of a Ministry of Transportation five year capital plan.

While the project is still on the government’s radar, the document suggests the work won’t be complete until after 2021.

The budget for the Northern Highways Program continues to grow though.

It will rise to $630-million in 2017/2018, an increase of $90-million from this current fiscal year.
