Two arrested for drug trafficking on Kashechewan

Two people have been arrested on the Kashechewan First Nation for drug trafficking.

The Nishinawbe Aski Police, the OPP and the First Nations police executed a search warrent last Wednesday.

A quantity of methamphetamine and Canadian currency was seized.

The women, a 21 and a 39 years old, were arrested and charged with trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under 5 thousand dollars.

Both have been released from custody and are due to appear in court on August 17th.
