Two arrests made after Hwy 17 drug bust

Two southeastern Ontario residents are facing charges for allegedly trafficking cocaine and oxycodone in the region.

The OPP say members conducted a routine traffic stop in the Township of Forgie and seized a large quantity of suspected drugs.

As a result of their investigation, a 31-year-old of St. Catherines is facing charges of:

– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine,
– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – oxycodone,

As well, a 32-year-old of Welland has been charged with:

– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine,
– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – oxycodone,

The two were both remanded into custody and appeared in bail courts today.
