Two people have been arrested for drug trafficking, including one from Kenora and one from Red Lake.

The OPP say they stopped a vehicle on Highway #105 in Red Lake last week.

Officers believed they were in possession of controlled substances and were placed under arrest.

Police seized a quantity of methamphetamine, illegal pills, Canadian currency and a prohibited weapon.

The street value of the drugs was about five thousand dollars.

One of the suspects violated a probation order and remains in custody and the other will appear in Red Lake court on May 18th.
