Two Feathers Moving Forward

The Two Feathers Forest Products initiative is moving forward thanks to recent support from the Federal and Provincial Governments.
The initiative will feature 2-value added plants in Red Lake and Eagle Lake First Nation, specializing in high quality pre-manufactured timber buildings for export overseas.
President Terry Favelle says they hope to get the shovel in the ground shortly.
Wabigoon Lake, Eagle Lake and Pikangikum First Nations are partnering with a Finnish group to launch the initiative, which will create new jobs in Northwestern Ontario.
Red Lake will have a high-tech and energy efficient sawmill operation, while the Eagle Lake Plant will be used for the final processing and assembly of the commercial buildings.
