Two Hats for NAPS Officers

Changes are in store for a remote island near Attawapiskat.
12-Nishnawbe Aski Police officers have been appointed special RCMP Constables.
Sergeant Jackie George says it’s because it was getting hard to provide service.
The move means NAPS officers can provide service to the island which falls under RCMP jurisdiction.
Before the appointment, RCMP officers based out of Nunavut were in charge of the area.
